Dr. Konstantin Gaitanži
Dr. Konstantin Gaitanži jest artystą malarzem, wykładowcą, badaczem. Pochodzi z Wilna, jest absolwentem tamtejszej Akademii Sztuk Pięknych, gdzie w 2019 roku obronił również doktorat. Brał udział w wielu wystawach zbiorowych, zrealizował 10 pokazów indywidualnych. Służy w Litewskich Siłach Zbrojnych od 2015 roku.
ABSTRACT
Where are the roots of military propaganda? Is propaganda always ‘evil’? What visual means
were used to convey its narratives? What human psychological mechanisms is it directed at?
How does it change over time?
In the presented lecture, we will try to consider all these questions and discuss main possible
solutions. In the center of attention will be two main types of visual propaganda – monumental
propaganda and propaganda posters from different wars – from American Civil War to
Russian-Ukrainian War. Monumental propaganda as a trigger for conflicts. Visual
propaganda online. Generative ‘propaganda’ produced by ANNs (Artificial Neural Networks).
